Asian Economies follows a subscription-based access model for its published articles.

Where applicable, access may also be provided through institutional subscriptions, library arrangements, or individual article purchase.
Article titles, abstracts, keywords, author information, and other bibliographic metadata may be made publicly available to facilitate the discoverability and scholarly visibility of published research.
The journal's Article Processing Charge (APC) is US$40 for each accepted manuscript, as specified in the journal's Processing Charges policy. The APC covers the editorial and publication services associated with processing and publishing the accepted manuscript.
The payment of the APC is not a condition for acceptance and has no influence on the editorial or peer-review decision. All manuscripts are evaluated solely on the basis of their academic quality, originality, methodological rigor, relevance, and scholarly contribution.
The journal reserves the right to determine and update its access, subscription, and distribution arrangements in accordance with its publishing policies.
All manuscripts submitted to Asian Economies undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their suitability for the journal's scope and basic scholarly requirements.
